Curriculum

1- Faculty of Medicine:

The members of this department teach blood diseases to students of the Faculty of Medicine through a curriculum based on lectures, panel discussions, practical training and clinical education in the main areas of blood diseases that is anemia, stroke diseases, blood-thinning diseases, blood transfusion medicine, cancers related to blood diseases, and bone marrow transplant medicine.

2- Dental School:

As for the dental school students, the department teaches all subjects related to dental medicine such as causes of blood thinning and how to deal with it, in addition to some cancerous tumors linked to blood diseases that may appear on teeth, hence the dentist must have a sufficient knowledge of the need to have the patient examined by a specialist in hematology.

3-  Applied Medical Sciences School :

The department gives students of technical medicine laboratory education related to blood diseases with an appropriate introduction to blood diseases.

The department teaches nursing students blood diseases with a focus on nursing aspects.

4- Graduate Students:

In the department there is currently a British Fellowship Program for the blood diseases, and the department is in the process of establishing a King Abdul Aziz University Fellowship for blood diseases.
